On December 20, 1972, God gave to this world Radiah Kumala. Givens- Nunez. She was the daughter of Gloria Jean Williamson and Chester Givens. She was born in Denver, Colorado.
Radiah grew up in Denver and graduated from South High School on June 4, 1991. During her high school years, she trained and performed with the Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Company (1986-1991). She was a Denver Owl Club Debutante (1991). She attended the University of Colorado, Boulder, CO with a double mayor in Biology and Dance. She transferred to the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre, New York, NY with a dance scholarship. Due to a knee injury she was unable to complete her dream of being a dancer. She became a Certified Personal Trainer with the David Barton Gym, New York, NY. During this time she applied and was accepted to New York University (NYU). While at NYU she completed two internships: BET Interactive and TV Guide Online. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree with a double Major in Humanities and Media Studies in May 2009. She founded and hosted The H20 Network on Blogtalkradio.com; a platform for Inner Traditions authors to discuss their published books. In her quest for spiritual fulfillment, she was initiated as a Lukumi Priestess of Yemaya.
Radiah returned to Denver in 2012, she continued to work in the field of helping others. She worked as a spiritual advisor at ISIS, Heaven’s Sake, and Apothecary Tinctura. All of her clients loved her. She was known for her kind loving spirit. She was always willing to help and support all that needed her. Her loves for the Arts lead her to become a Fluid Art Abstract painter; she created some amazing art pieces. Her art work can be found on display in several homes in Denver.
Radiah departed this life on July 22, 2020.
She leaves to cherish her loving memory, her mother, Gloria Jean Williamson, step-father Louis Williamson, father Chester Givens, uncles: Samuel, Jerry and Bernard West, aunts: Shelley West and Mary Horton, godfather ,Oba Pichardo, a host of cousins, other relatives and many friends.
